Brought it from Amazon for under 200.00 and I am a very satisfied ik500 customer. After going from store to store and checking out ipod speakers, I first saw this at Circuit City and was immediately blown away.
So while it does have impressive bass it cannot hit lows very well (i.e. The 6" "sub" is really a passive radiator that feeds off the 4" drivers. Like many have said, this speaker has some impressive sound for its size. My only disappointment is that it does not have a powered subwoofer.

Sound is great. no big deal. Plenty of BASS and treble. Over all very happy with my product. Like others have said, the back handle is a little shallow.
Two minor shortfalls: 1. But it does fit and the remote control works to move thru the songs, something most other protable speaker systems do not accomplish. It has very good sound quality and excellent volume.
the dock station is about one centimeter to short. It would be nice if a carrying case were either supplied or offered as an option. My 40G, fourth generation, click wheel iPod just barely fits into the dock.

I also like the option of inputing a laptop or other MP3 player to this speaker system. the carrying handle is built into the top of the box and is a bit shallow for an adult's hand; you get the impression you will drop the speaker.
